Congratulations to the Casimir Catholic College Marrickville Class of 2023 on your outstanding Higher School Certificate (HSC) results! 

Our school was among the top 200 in the state, placing 185th in The Sydney Morning Herald rankings. 

We recorded 26 Distinguished Achievers and one Top Achiever, while 33% of students received a Band 6. 

We also celebrated a First in Course honour, with Nicole Joanna Tapang placing first in the state in Filipino Continuers. 

There were also some impressive results across a number of different subjects: 

  • PDHPE results 11.97 per cent above state average
  • Information Processes and Technology results 9.69 per cent above state average
  • Mathematics Stage 2 results 9.53 per cent above state average 
  • Ancient History results 9.21 per cent above state average

Principal Carmelina Eussen congratulated Year 12 on their fantastic effort and achievements.

“Under the guidance of explicit teaching, Year 12’s ability to respond to feedback and intervention was impressive,” she said. 

“The results represent amazing growth for the school.”

SUCCESS ACROSS THE SYSTEM 

Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) has once again achieved outstanding results in the 2023 HSC with nine of its 33 secondary schools ranked among the top 100 high schools in NSW.

A total of 18 schools ranked among the top 150 high schools—one more than last year—strengthening SCS’s position as one of the top performing systems in Australia.

SCS recorded an impressive 2780 Distinguished Achievers, 47 Top Achievers and 67 All Rounders.

Notably, eight SCS students also received HSC First in Course honours.
